SERVICES TAILORED TO OUR CLIENTS’ NEEDS AND ASPIRATIONS

At Australex we do things differently, building our capabilities and processes around the needs and vision of our clients. We know that ‘flex’, agility and responsiveness from a construction partner are important to you, and we know that our integrated and richly experienced knowledge and expertise is value you will benefit from. We deliver this, and much more. Our approach builds trust, guarantees quality, contributes cost efficiencies and ultimately allows us to manage your complete requirements across the entire development lifecycle.

SOLUTIONS FROM
START TO FINISH

Australex is your true end-to-end partner. Steered by experienced leadership, our in-house team, including architects and engineers, formwork and joinery companies, means that our service starts at the initial feasibility and planning stage, and extends well beyond the day we hand over the keys to a fully operational development.

Everything we do is based on our desire to add value along the entire development chain, to ensure our clients achieve the best possible outcomes. To fully leverage Australex Group’s full range of services, engaging us under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach will add maximum value to your project.

METHODS OF ENGAGEMENT
OF OUR SERVICES

Our extensive experience and proven track record across a range of complex and unique projects, means we can recommend the most appropriate method of delivery to suit your program and budget requirements. While we are flexible and will work around our clients’ needs, the majority of our clients will opt for the Design & Construct methodology for delivery of our services and/or will engage us up front under an ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) arrangement with the intention to proceed to a full D&C engagement.

PARTNERING WITH US

EARLY CONTRACTOR INVOLVEMENT (ECI)

By engaging Australex Group up front in the development process, which is our preferred approach to partnering with our clients, the client can fully exploit our specialist knowledge of the construction process and buildability. Our knowledge and experience in relation to construction, and construction costs, will contribute positively to the design process from a much earlier stage.

During this early phase of project planning, the greatest influence on capital costs and project outcomes is possible. This allows you to have closer control on the development budget and time objectives, giving you a much more efficient and effective construction tendering, and procurement process.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT

Ideally, Australex is involved prior to the works going formally to tender, having ‘informed’ the preliminary design (under an ‘ECI’). Either way, on the basis of the established design, D&C means we will provide the client a lump sum cost, an amount that is agreed upon before either the design or construction begin, to assume full responsibility, for both commissioning the design of the project and the actual physical build allowing the client as much or as little involvement as desired. This gives total peace of mind that costs are known up front, before any work is undertaken. D&C allows for a more streamlined approach and one point of accountability for the outcome.

A significant advantage of D&C is the fact that site-related difficulties and challenges can be identified by Australex at the preliminary stages and factored into the design, resulting in increased ease of construction and more efficient delivery of the works.

OTHER METHODS OF ENGAGEMENT

We can also be engaged under the following procurement models should the client require:

  • Lump sum
  • Cost plus
  • Construction management
  • Construction only

OUR EXTENSIVE RANGE
OF IN-HOUSE SERVICES

Australex is not your typical builder. Our clients get the added value our full range of integrated, in-house services offers. This is particularly the case the earlier we are involved in the development process, so that each of the core services we offer can be fully leveraged:

ARCHITECTURE

Our Project Design Team are experts in their field, enabling us to provide a holistic design, coordination and construction service across the most complex of projects – tailored to each development and each client’s needs. With this expertise in-house, we can add value to the design process, effectively manage the design consultant team(s), and nurture your project from conception to completion, from the first sketch, right through to construction. We use AutoCAD and REVIT augmented by advanced 3D software and modelling.

STRUCTURAL &
CIVIL ENGINEERING

Australex’s Structural and Civil engineering expertise provides consultation, design and documentation services from concept, design and delivery through to operations, expansions and end-of-life decommissioning.

From large to small projects, our team of engineers are experienced across a wide range of sectors including residential, industrial, mining, energy, government, education, defence and transport.

Our multidisciplinary team works with you to understand your project’s specific needs and engage the appropriate resources, sub-contractors and specialist consultants to reach a collaborative solution. They engage with and manage the appropriate authorities and stakeholders and our focus on building relationships and a mutual understanding of the end-goal helps reduce the time and cost of delivery.

They allow our team to bring a seamless and multi-disciplinary approach to the building process, combining extensive construction experience with a proactive attitude to deliver outstanding projects – regardless of their size, location or type.
